Finnsheep Roving Swirl
Finnsheep Pin Drafted Finn Roving is an extra step of fibre processing that is done after the roving comes off the carder. The fibre is drawn through rolls of pins. This causes the individual wool fibres to be further aligned to a more parallel state than the carder alone can produce. This additional preparation makes spinning the fibre a dream as the sliver is thinner than regular roving and the fibres are further aligned. It is essentially pre-drafted. The process makes it “easier” to spin or felt.
